My session at the BrowserStack QA in-person meetup, which I also hosted. I argued that AI is a force multiplier rather than a replacement, and that the QA leader’s role shifts from gatekeeper to orchestrator: designing AI-powered workflows, validating what the tools produce, and governing how they are used. In regulated payments the oversight layer stays non-negotiable, with peer review on AI-authored tests, human sign-off before release, and synthetic data only inside AI pipelines. The evening shared a bill with David Halama on QA for Shopify Plus.
A guest talk at the Airline & Travel Payment Summit (ATPS B2B 2026). I argued that authorisation is not revenue realised: roughly $1.2 billion in airline funds remained blocked as of October 2025, with the overwhelming majority concentrated in Africa and the Middle East. The session set out the five payment states a lifecycle needs, from sale confirmed through to reconciliation verified, and made the case that settlement confidence is engineered rather than assumed.
A three-week Software Quality Assurance programme run by Korrekt Tech in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tertiary Education and the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students’ Union Affairs, under the theme of building a smarter, tech-driven Lagos through student empowerment. I volunteered on the programme and spoke on Day 3, at the concluding session on 25 October 2025 where participants received their certificates.
A panel discussion with MBA colleagues and a visiting delegation of Nigerian academic leaders, including Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors and Pro-Chancellors, among them Prof. Owunari Georgewill, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, and Prof. Attahiru Jega, former INEC Chairman. His earlier work includes leading QA across three product teams at Reddit and heading QA for national telecom identity systems serving millions of users. He holds an MBA with First Class Distinction from Coventry University and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Port Harcourt.
